The COVID-19 pandemic has caused significant disruptions in many students' learning. Therefore, OCA-CVC offers a free virtual teaching program dedicated to bringing equal academic opportunities to underserved communities.
The program seeks to provide a personalized and accessible 1-on-1 teaching experience in every subject, completely free of charge. With a team of excellent high school and college students, we hope to use their relatability to inspire independent learning and academic curiosity among our students.
OCA-CVC established the Chinese Community Grants to support OCA-CVC’s mission.
The grants will fund organizations and individuals from the greater Richmond area for activities that preserve and promote Chinese culture, and enhance culture understanding in communities.
High educational achievement is a valued pillar of the Chinese community as our youth continue to receive noted accolades and high scholastic attainment.
OCA-CVC encourages these achievements, recognizing that our youth will be the leaders for tomorrow’s global community. Therefore, OCA-CVC, in partnership with the San Yeh Charity Foundation, recognizes high performing students and those who have demonstrated exceptional leadership within our communities.
In order to hear the voices of youth and enrich the cultural life of the Chinese community in the Greater Richmond Area, OCA-CVC has organized an essay competition.
OCA-CVC has been organizing donation drives in our Chinese community to help our community needs.
